Hello, my name is Mrs. Ashley. I have been married for 20 years to Jason Irwin. We have no children, but we have 1 black cat that we love named Lil’ Bit!! A couple of my favorite things: color-yellow, food-Mexican, drink-Coke or Mtn. Dew, candy- anything chocolate and caramel (like a Milky Way), hobbies- playing with my cat, reading (I love Nicholas Sparks), swimming, and being in the mountains.

I have a Master’s degree in early childhood development/ elementary education from Tennessee Wesleyan College.  This is my 23rd year as a teacher here at Vonore Elementary School. I taught Kindergarten for 16 of those years, 5 years in 2nd grade, and this is now my second year in 1st grade! To watch students learn and grow is so much fun!! I am honored to be able to be a small part of the education of the young students at VES!
