Virtual Attendance

Up to this point, there has been a grace period for absences and tardies, regarding the check-in process for virtual classes, while we were all getting used to the online process. Starting Wednesday, September 23rd, all check-ins that are made after your teacher's assigned time will result in an unexcused tardy, and all days where no check-ins were completed will result in unexcused absences. Truancy rules will apply the same with virtual classes as with students who are physically attending school. If a student does all the work, but never attends class, he/she would be truant. The same is true for a virtual student. If you are unsure about the check-in process or assigned time, please contact your teacher. In order to excuse tardies or absences, you can use doctor or parent notes. Please refer to the Orientation video for more information on excuses for absentees and tardies.

VES Basketball Season

Due to recent increased COVID numbers in Monroe County and the difficulty in monitoring safety protocols for both home and away games, as well as practices, Vonore Elementary has made the very difficult decision that we will not be participating in the 2020 basketball season. We look forward to putting our Blue Devil best back on the court next season.
