VES PTO Mission Statement
To develop and nurture a connection between school and home by engaging parental involvement. To cultivate the educational experience through various academic, social, and enriching activities, and to improve the overall environment and connection at Vonore Elementary School.

 

Our school culture is crucial to student growth and success, and Mrs. Cole, along with Dr. Kirkland, are passionate about further connecting the students of all grades through the Blue’s initiative. The more our school feels like a true “family,” the higher our students will achieve academically and develop as great citizens. We hope to use PTO funds to continue to support this important initiative and create a better learning environment while focusing on student connectivity, natural mentorship, and the further development of character and manners.

 

 

 

Last year the PTO was able to help with so much and we have highlighted our accomplishments for your viewing. This year we are wanting to work on getting a privacy fence for our playground and more.

Our PTO raised a total of $18,052.28 last year with us spending $6,793.86. The list of items we spent on last year are: CLASSROOM & TEACHER RESOURCES (Christmas Music Program Props,  Kindergarten camp supplies, Classroom supplies, Kindergarten registration supplies), STUDENT ACTIVITIES (Pizza party, Fall Ball, Santa Shop, Holiday Photos, Kindergarten stones, Concessions), FAMILY & COMMUNITY EVENTS (Donuts with Grownups, Discount Cards, AMD Haunts, Belk Charity Sale, Hot Cocoa with Santa), STAFF SUPPORT (Bluey Cart, Teacher appreciation), SCHOOL UPGRADES (Updates to the aesthetic around the outside of the school), ADMINISTRATIVE (print fees, Amazon membership, BJ's Membership)

 

We could not have done all this if it wasn't for our volunteers! Thank you so much for all your help in making our school great, and our students happy!
