Monroe County Students to ECO Day

The Monroe County School District has worked with the US Forestry Service through a partnership agreement for the past several years to provide an ECO Day field trip, each May, for only 5th grade students to travel to Indian Boundary.  Through the agreement, the US Forestry Service has covered the cost of buses to transport 5th grade students from Madisonville Intermediate, Vonore Middle, Tellico Plains Jr. High, Rural Vale, and Coker Creek.   For the upcoming May 2024 ECO Day, the cost of buses will be covered through the US Forestry Service.  Currently, the Monroe County School System is not soliciting donations or initiating fund-raising campaigns to fund buses for our 5th grade students to attend this field trip.  As always, we appreciate the support of our community in educating the students of Monroe County Schools.
