This opportunity is available for all students who were enrolled in Vonore Elementary during the 2019 - 2020 school year. The grade level of your child in 2019-2020 will be the grade level of his/her placement during Summer School. There will be classes available for students in grades Kindergarten, first, third, and fourth. We will be accepting twelve Kindergarten students, fifteen first graders, fifteen third graders, and fifteen fourth graders. Summer School classes for third and fourth graders will be centered around math. Registration will be available online and students will be served on a first come, first serve basis. All exceptional education and English as a second language students will have proper accommodations during this time. Transportation is the responsibility of parents and all students will be expected to adhere to the attendance policy.
Parents are asked to drop off Kindergarten and first grade students at the front of the building, while third and fourth grade students are dropped off at the back of the building. If you have students attending that are in multiple grade levels, it will be necessary for you to make multiple stops due to social distancing in the hallways. Students will be screened upon arrival and any student with a temperature of 100° or higher will be sent home with the parent. Parents are asked to remain at school in their vehicle until their child is screened. All students must enter the school building wearing a mask. Parents will not be permitted to enter the building. Students are asked to bring a water bottle, due to the closing of the water fountains. Lunch will be provided for all students, however, parents may pack lunches if they would like. Parents also are asked to send an individual snack with their child each day.
